Welcome to our Basics Fundamentals Blog Hop! We will be showcasing our Basics Fundamental paper collection with various projects created by talented Close to My Heart consultants. If you are visiting from Carol's blog then you are on the right track.
This month a created some cards using the Many Congratulations stamp set and the Basic Fundamental papers. I used a water coloring technique my friend Jen Mahan shared with me. I posted a short video at the end of the post if you want to check it out. Read on for the details on each card or hop along to Haley's Blog.
For this card I pulled out the gray patterned papers and some Bashful cardstock. Using the clear shimmer brush , I added some color to the flowers with Bashful Ink and Sweet Leaf Ink (see technique video below). I added a little pop to the sentiment by layering it on some Bashful Cardstock.
For this card I pulled out the brown hues and threw in some Poppy Cardstock and ink for some color. I used 3 white dots for an accent under the sentiment.
For this card I loved the script pattern so much that I didn't want to add any other pattern to it. I stamped the flower bunch with Memento Black Ink. I masked off where the tie goes and stamped that in Espresso Ink. I used the same water coloring technique as the first card using the Clear Shimmer Brush. This time I used Willow Ink, Lemon Ink, Juniper Ink, Sorbet Ink, and Pansy Ink. You can watch the video below for how I water colored using ink pads and the shimmer brush.
