Jack Blog Hop

Welcome to our Jack Blog Hop!  We will be showcasing our Jack collection with various projects created by talented Close to My Heart consultants.  If you are visiting from Ramona's Blog then you are on the right track.

This month I wanted to get back to my roots and feature a scrapbook layout.  I started scrapbooking when I was in high school.  Scrapbooking is what got me started in paper crafting.  Creating this layout made me so happy!  I love the Jack paper collection and was excited I had some camping pictures from this summer to inspire this layout.

Read on for all the details or hop along to Martha's Blog.

I started with laying out the Jack patterned papers, complements and accents.  I grabbed the newest Close to My Heart how to book, Make It From Your Heart.  I LOVE this new idea book!  So many great patterns and they have updated the artwork to give even more ideas.  There is a section of ideas for pocket scrapbooking, which is the one I chose, pattern 33.

This is the layout before I added in pocket pages.
Pocket pages are a fast and easy way to add more photos.

The first pocket page I added I included the title for the layout.  Isn't the font so cute?!  It is from our newest cricut cartrige You Are Here.  The dots are the white dot accents.  I used two of the Pocket Plus Design 1.

The second pocket page I added a few more cricut cuts from the You Are Here cartridge. The log cabin, trees and hiking boots are also cut from the You Are Here cartridge.

The last pocket page I added journaling.  The smore stick and trees are from the You Are Here cricut cartrige.  Here is a closer look at the cricut cuts:

I really enjoyed getting back to scrapbooking and hope to do more really soon!

  2. Absolutely awesome layout! Even though you only added pocket pages between the two 12" x 12" sides, it looks so different as you turn the page. I love it!
