Welcome to our Close to My Heart Hello Lovely blog hop! We will be showcasing items created with our Hello Lovely paper packet. If you are visiting from Carol's blog you are on the right track!
These notebook holders came together so quickly! The Hello Lovely paper and accessories work so well for this fun project. You can create something elegant and classy, or something with a little more spunk, all from the same paper packet!

I used Whisper Cardstock for the base, a heart from the Hello Lovely complements, and Gold Glitter gems added some sparkle. I tied a bow on the pen using Blush Shimmer Ribbon.
For this one I used Juniper cardstock for the base and simply tied some Blush Shimmer Ribbon around the base.
This one is my favorite. I left the pen holder off to accommodate a larger notepad. The dot paper is actually a cut apart card included in the Hello Lovely paper packet. I added Gold Shimmer Trim and a puffy arrow from the complements. The heart is cut from Gold Glitter Paper using the Heart Thin Cuts. The gold stripes on the inside are from the Rustic Home Fundamentals papers.
Instructions for Notebook and Pen Holder:
Cut a piece of cardstock to 3 3/4 x 11 inches. Score at 1 inch, 2 inch, 3 inch and 7 inches. Fan fold the 1, 2, and 3 inch score lines. This will create your base as shown below.
Cut a piece of cardstock to 4 3/4 x 7 1/4.
Score at 4 inches and 4 1/2 inches.
Then score at 1/2 inch on each of the long sides.
Cut in to the score line. You can angle the cut if you would like, but don't need to.
Cut a piece of pattern paper to 2 1/2 x 3 1/2.
Attach to the smaller side. This will be your front.
Flip over your cardstock piece and cut a 3 1/2 x 3 3/4 piece of pattern paper.
This will be on the inside of your holder.
Fold on score lines.
Using liquid glass, attach tab piece to the inside of your holder.
Cut a 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 piece of cardstock.
Score every 1/2 inch.
This will make your pen holder,
or if you are making a holder for a larger notebook, you can skip this step.
Fold on score lines and glue the ends together making a square tube.
Attach the pen holder to the back and side of the holder using liquid glass.
Finish attaching sides to the holder.
Attach the holder to the stand using liquid glass. Let dry. Last step...accessorize!
